There has been no ministry more important to me than that of being a wife for over 40 years, a mother of three adult sons and one adult daughter, and a grandma to the next generation of boys and girls! My own values and faith were very much shaped by my parents and extended family. This is a legacy I am privileged to pass on.

I co-taught a seminar encouraging doctoral candidates to apply new learning to their practice of ministry. Part of my responsibility was to advise these candidates and evaluate their work as they planned and completed their final professional paper.

On-Site Visits Made To Seminary Interns

I would visit seminarians at the half-way point of their internship year in a parish; interview the interns, supervisors, internship committees and spouses; and access strengths and growing edges to assure the best learning experience. I reported directly to the Director of Internships, completing written reports to include in the student files.

I was commissioned and trained as an Army Chaplain, broadened my ability to support military personnel and families from a diverse group of religions and cultures, and served as a battalion chaplain with the Washington, DC National Guard. Though not deployed myself, I served during the years of Desert Shield, Desert Storm and provided support for the families of soldiers who were deployed.
