-Reviewing and updating patients records and medical information.-Performing initial oral and head and neck examinations.-Performing prophylaxis, scaling and root planing,exposing x-rays, periodontal charting and examining teeth and oral tissues.-Educating patients in preventative and cosmetic dentistry and signs of periodontal disease along with explaining and demonstrating oral hygiene instructions.- Educating patients on their needs for specialized dentistry such as endodontics, orthodontics, periodontics and oral surgery.-Applying desensitizing agents,fluoride varnishes and sealants.-Explaining and implementing treatment plans to suit patient's needs and desires.-Maintaining equipment, sharpening dental instruments and ordering supplies.-Maintaining a Recare System and scheduling appointments.
