Primarily responsible for overall look; design; development; and management of webserver, webpages, digital elements and social sites. Takes direction from the Operations Director, Promotions Director and Sales Management on execution directly related to programming, promotions and sales initiatives. Responsible for the content strategy of website/blog/social media to attract listeners to iHeart Media sites and stream. Strategizes with on-air hosts to achieve more listener visits to the website and other digital presence. Uses online traffic analytics reports to reallocate their efforts to maximize advertising scope. Develops strategies with Sales Management and Account Executives to deliver successful digital solutions to iHeart Media clients. Maintains and manages the integrity of web links; company confidentiality, and security of information systems on the website.

Assign stories and decide news coverage on multiple platforms. Communicate within the newsroom between reporters, producers, and other management. Establish connections and relationships within the Huntsville/TN Valley Market to cover stories. Have a working knowledge of satellite and microwave technology, web/mobile content management systems, and video file transfers. Listen and monitor police/fire scanners. Produce exclusive story information for multiple platforms. Organize a planner for the day along with long range planning. Have ability to cover and plan breaking news and severe weather events at all hours. Be a part of a management team to development and implement ideas within the newsroom.

Have decisive skills, work quickly through logistical situations with news crews and breaking news, as well as making contacts for setting up stories. Be pro-active and a problem-solver, as well as well-organized in daily and long-range planning. Have strong news judgment and knowledge of AP style. Update the website content daily. Work with sales and promotions departments. Work with other news managers to bring more viewers to the website. Create an online push and develop online media strategies. Create breaking news plans and get information online quickly and accurately.
