As an educator with over 5 years experience working in ESL I have been responsible for developing content and delivering interesting, relevant, and informative lessons to a wide range of learners from diverse backgrounds with differing needs and expectations. ESL classrooms are dynamic environments that require creativity, the ability to motivate, and flexibility to respond to situations that constantly change: no two days and no two learners in ESL are ever the same. Key skills that I employ on a daily basis include: ice-breaking, establishing rapport and encouraging strangers to make connections; reading, responding to, and leading a group; presenting materials and communicating clearly; creating positive working environments; confidence-building; demonstrating empathy; and sensitivity to learners as individuals.

At St Giles International I taught English to international students from all over the world. Using a communicative approach as the basis for learning I coached, encouraged, and informed students in their quest to acquire a better knowledge and awareness of the English language. Teaching all levels of learners from complete Beginners through to highly Advanced levels, I strove to create a positive rapport with every one of my students, creating a dynamic learning environment with creative and informative lessons.

At St Giles International in London I taught Beginner to Advanced ESL classes, including Cambridge Exam preparation classes. I also played an active role in the social program at the school - combining my love of teaching with my love of craft. Twice a month, students would attend Art Club after classes and I would teach a different art project each session. The club was a lot of fun, I found it very rewarding to lead a group of language learners in a creative endeavor and see them activating their language skills in a non-formal setting.

This was a full time internship with one of the most exciting milliners currently working in the world. I worked in the studio on production and couture hats. The production hats came in from the factory pre-blocked and we finished and trimmed them. The couture hats were created from scratch under the guidance and supervision of Philip Treacy. During my time at Philip Treacy I worked on headwear for the Alexander McQueen catwalk, for attendees of Vogue Paris' 90th birthday celebrations, and special one-off client commissions.

At Ab Rogers Design I was the organizer in a studio of designers and creatives. I helped to co-ordinate the design team, assisted with the preparation of presentation and pitch materials, and maintained an overview of all the studio projects. I also acted as Assistant to the Creative Director, a well-known Interior Architect in the UK, helping to implement organizational systems, drafting correspondence on his behalf, managing his diary and making travel arrangements.In my time at Ab Rogers Design I worked on an exciting range projects, our clients included the Tate Modern; the London Science Museum; Selfridges; Miller Harris perfumers; and the Richard Rogers Partnership.
