Beth is an independent queer producer from Leeds working in the heart of London and her work spans theatre, cabaret, live art and events, with a specific focus on platforming and supporting LGBTQIA+ artists and audiences. She is particularly excited by original and experimental work that sits outside the conventions of traditional arts spaces and contexts which has a socially-engaged activism strand. A former Young Trustee at The Roundhouse and have produced work and supported award-winning artists at festivals and venues across the UK. Most recently including 2 time OFFIE Nominated HIGH STEAKS by ELOINA, Edinburgh Fringe 2023 smash hit BECOMING TRAVULVA by Jodie Mitchell, and Chortle Nominated and Guardian Best Comedy Shows 2022 CAttS by Frankie Thompson, amongst others. Beth has received training from New Diorama on their Emerging Companies programme in 2019, was part of The Roundhouse's Future Producers cohort in 2020, and China Plate's The Optimists course in 2021. Beth is an access support worker, working with neurodivergent and disabled artists to make funding applications to Arts Council England, raising over £200k for independent artists. She has taught producing skills at the University of York and Central School of Speech and Drama and was on the board for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for Cancer Research UK in 2021. Alongside her producing work, Beth is an activist for better freelance rights across the creative industries with particular focus on advocating for early career artists. Beth was on the national Freelance Task Force in 2020 and the Creative Freelancers: Shaping London’s Recovery cohort working with The Barbican and Fuel Theatre in association with the Mayor of London.
