Served as the full-time Physical Education Teacher at the Dolores Mission School, a K-8 Catholic school in East Los Angeles while living in an intentional community with five other volunteers, guided by the teachings of St. Ignatius of Loyola: social justice, simple living, community and spirituality. Primary work responsibilities included teaching daily classes, facilitating recesses for all grade levels, coaching after-school sports teams and providing support for other faculty members.

Organized and facilitated multiple weeklong mission trips for church and community groups from across the country to improve housing in Martin County, KY (2013) and Lawrence County, KY (2014). Oversaw more than 400 volunteers to rebuild 13 homes over 3 months each summer. Oversaw volunteer assignments, labor and supplies for construction sites.
