She has extensive trial experience in both Federal and State Court. As Becker & Poliakoff’s Director of Litigation Technology & Support, Ms. Thomas spearheads the Firm’s efforts in building a strong and nationally recognized Litigation Practice Group with a competitive advantage in litigation support and technology. She led the introduction and implementation of the firm’s Uniform Case Management System for all litigation matters, including both physical file structure and electronic case management. In addition, Ms. Thomas created the Firm’s litigation support department for the collection, processing and organization of all case evidence, and she also manages the Firm’s litigation paralegal team. Ms. Thomas is a member of both the Association of Litigation Support Professionals and the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists.With recent changes in both State and Federal rules prompting an increase in methods for the collecting and processing of electronically stored information, Ms. Thomas and her team of five in-house litigation support professionals play an integral role in keeping the firm’s litigation group on the cutting edge as the industry rapidly evolves and litigation support technology becomes increasingly more complex.EducationMs. Thomas is a Florida Registered Paralegal, a Certified Clearwell Administrator and a Certified Trainer for Trial Director.
