I managed operations of an academic department with 20 full- and part-time professors. I managed budgets for the department, a secondary program, and affiliated student groups. I was responsible for digital and print communications both to our majors and to the university community at large. In addition, I planned and executed events ranging from faculty and student meetings to speaker series to awards receptions.Other duties included data collection and analysis, office management, student staff supervision, and records management. In fact, my system of storing and sharing files digitally was adopted by a division-wide committee for faculty hiring and promotion.I'm also committed to service and engagement in the workplace. I helped create the first of several sanctioned affinity groups for staff collaboration and networking, and I participated in the planning and preparation of several employee appreciation events.
