About Bethany Arnold

I am an experienced global reproductive health expert with a passion for promoting locally led development and reproductive empowerment. I am also a trained doula and currently working with USAID, where I work with programs to place locally led and inclusive development at the heart of their programming, helping to ensure all individuals have agency and choice over their reproductive health goals. I bring with me deep technical expertise in family planning and reproductive health, social and behavior change (SBC), adolescent health, design thinking, gender transformative programming, health education, and qualitative and formative research. I have extensive experience providing high-level technical and programmatic support to the administration and implementation of sexual and reproductive health (SRH) projects in francophone West Africa and globally. I am a skilled connector and ready collaborator, believing that together we can achieve our shared central goals to improve the health of individuals and communities. At the same time, I understand the importance of working with communities and local groups to address social and behavioral complexities, norms, and other factors when designing, implementing, and monitoring programs to ensure success.
