Supporting the everyday lives of individuals with particularly complex needs, including autism spectrum conditions, behaviours which may challenge, mental health conditions, profound and multiple learning disabilities and associated complex health needs.

Working as a team of bar staff under the supervision of a Bar Senior to provide excellent customer service to students and the general public at a range of events held at the Students’ Union. Bar staff are responsible for food and drink preparation, taking payments, aiding the bar senior in tasks such as restocking fridges, as well as cleaning and shutting down the bar at the end of the shift.

Working as a live-in language tutor for an Italian family with children aged 8-10. This role enabled development of excellent communication skills and amelioration of Italian language and language skills more generally. My resilience and patience were enhanced through working with young children in their summer vacation period with ensuring meaningful and effective tutorship was provided, as well as acting as a guardian at times.My passion for helping and caring for others facilitated the refinement of my skills in this area, and allowed me to persevere with difficult situations and tasks I was given the responsibility of fulfilling, such as aiding children under my care with personal hygiene, getting up and dressed, ensuring meals were prepared, and entertaining them throughout the day - all while acting as their caregiver.
