My name is Bethany Harmon I am an aspiring radio talent. I had my first taste of the radio business when I did a high school internship at 95.1 WRBS. I fell in love with the operations of how the station worked. Upon graduating high school I did some college and then went right into the work force. I worked at Weis Markets Incorporated for 2 years. I was eventually promoted to Food Service Manager. While there I still had a passion for the radio so I decided to attend The Broadcasting Institute of Maryland(BIM). There I was the Program Director for our on campus radio station. I also had the pleasure of going out and covering events such as the incident at WMAR and Preakness. While at Preakness I was able to interview one of the bands which was awesome ! I was also able to obtain a position as a Promotions Intern at 100.7 WZBA. There I went out to events and saw how the promotions side of radio worked. When I was working in the office I had the pleasure of calling winners, helping with production, and putting things together for events. My dream is one day to be on the radio in some fashion.
