When I received the opportunity to work with Lancashire Cricket Club. I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work on some larger scale events and gain further experience in the industry. I have excelled in building upon my skills in event planning since joining the club; with successfully selling the conference spaces for big clients being a regular highlight for me. Early on I had the incredible opportunity of helping prep and work as a hostess for the large Ashes Test Match in 2023, Arctic Monkeys, and several ‘Hundred Ball’ games, with T20 Blasts. In 2024, I have helped prep and work as a hostess on the Foo Fighters and Green Day concerts, several Hundred Ball and T20 Blasts, as well as the England vs Sri Lanka Test Match series and the IT20 England vs Australia game. Not only has it been challenging, but it has also been extremely rewarding working on everything from smaller client events all the way to sold out concerts and cricket fixtures. Having the opportunities to work for the club and these events means that my skills have improved, I have gained more knowledge and I’m even more passionate about the events industry.

From beginning my journey with Open Kitchen being their Events and Bookings manager I successfully planned and executed a wedding from start to finish, planned 2 weddings for the following year, whilst also successfully planning and executing several conferences, evening events/parties, dinners, and exhibitions. I balanced my time not only with this role but also helping as Assistant General Manager to the café whilst simultaneously liaising with clients, customers and the bookings team for the venue at the People's History Museum. As I balanced two jobs, my organizational skills expanded as I created several spec sheets a day for the events I worked on and was very hands on with every event to make sure it is executed to the best it would be.

I began my role at Purezza as just a supervisor, but I had room to grow, which led me to become Assistant General Manager within a matter of three months. My general manager at the time left his role at Purezza and there was a period where I ran the restaurant on my own. From this, I gained valuable experience with further admin duties that included payroll, Rota building, excel sheets and sales forecasting. I worked hand in hand with the general manager at the time and with the head chef to make sure that the restaurant ran smoothly. I was consistently challenging myself there and even helped develop the new cocktail menu on site. From the experience and knowledge I gained from the company, it made me pursue my career in events.

My previous experience before this roll was a mixture of waitressing and retail. With this role, I started as a bar tender/waitress. I was working in a high stress environment and balanced my time between customers and orders effectively. I started assisting my assistant general manager with social media content and designing cocktails. When I stepped up after a few months, I was given the opportunity to run Black Leaf as the restaurant manager under Alvarium, with there I successful ran the launch night of the restaurant, several months of fully booked evenings, and private events. I left due to having an opportunity to grow further with Purezza.
