As with most people, I stumbled upon the insurance industry by accident. I had college bills to pay so I took a part-time job at an insurance agency which turned into a full-time position. I ended up working at that agency for 13 years handling nearly all of the day-to-day processes such as filing, answering phones, quoting, issuing, servicing, and taking payments. I left there to further develop my career as there was no opportunity for me to grow any further there. I began working at my current company as a CSR. I then worked as a Personal Lines Underwriter until I was offered the position of Operations Supervisor. Being the Operations Manager gives me the opportunity to work with a variety of departments. My favorite area to work with would be Product Implementation. I enjoy working closely with the Products Manager and the Production Analyst. I really enjoy learning about new products and being part of a team that brings ideas to fruition. I also am able to manage a variety of people with different skill levels and it is gratifying to see them move onto more in-depth roles if they came to us in an entry-level position.
