Began by assessing the organization's readiness for a major endowment match challenge. reporting on areas of greatest opportunity and challenge, followed by work with board and executive leadership to build the necessary infrastructure to move toward a sustainable future. Brought additional development capacity during the Covid years (extremely difficult for performing arts organizations) and then played an interim Development Director role to provide development leadership through an unanticipated leadership transition and successful completion of the endowment match challenge.

After conducting an assessment of the MediaJustice development operation and reporting findings and recommendations to leadership, supported implementation of those recommendations across systems management and staffing structure. Followed up with strategic support of the newly-hired development director as she continued to develop new systems and put in place a development and fundraising committee.

Project to research and develop a narrative history of the David Rockefeller Fund in conjunction with the foundation's 30th year. Worked to capture the spirit and philanthropic practice of this small family foundation that supports art for social change, criminal justice reform, and bipartisan U.S. climate leadership. Project outcomes include a history publication and filmed oral history content.

Examined Third Street's development operation, investigating greatest areas of opportunity, reflecting findings back to the executive director in the form of a development assessment report to inform the organization's search for a new development director. Reformulated language and priorities for DoD position description, then supported the search and interview process. Served as a strategic "bridge" throughout the transition process, as support and sounding board to both development staff and executive leadership. Subsequent engagement supported the development team and individual staff member coaching.

Provided organizational development and administrative support to this 20+ year-old visual arts membership organization based in Jersey City and serving artists from the metro area. During a five-year part-time consultancy, a new, co-leadership management structure for this volunteer organization was implemented, programming grew and membership expanded.

In 2017, conducted development assessment to help Project FIND consider how best to reposition its development director role for future success, then partnered in the organization's search and interview process to select the ideal candidate. In 2018, helped the new director of development define a job description for development and communications associate and assisted in the selection process.

Provided development strategy services to this national criminal justice reform organization, specifically around its justice reinvestment, juvenile justice, and Stepping Up programs (Stepping Up is an initiative focused on reducing the number of people with mental illnesses in jails). CSGJC provides practical, nonpartisan advice and evidence-based, consensus-driven strategies to policymakers at local, state, and federal levels toward the goals of increasing public safety and strengthening communities.

Foundation book project: Conducted research and interviews to document the Manton Foundation's first decade of post-founder grantmaking, then converted the findings into a narrative that described the Foundation's history, values and approach, spotlighting grantee stories and accomplishments. Managed edit and design process from start to finish of book production.

Managed fundraising and development operation for a $1.5 million nonpartisan political reform organization with both c3 and c4 entities. Successfully expanded key annual fundraising events, helping one raise $1mil for the first time in the organization's history. Managed strategic planning process, meaningfully engaging 50 board members, 10+ staff, over 35 volunteers and other key constituents; instituted a major donor program to help convert event and lapsed donors into ongoing investors in CU's work.

Provided fundraising and management consulting services to nonprofit clients, including Cunningham Dance Foundation and Queens Botanical Garden.

Developed business plan and operational recommendations for FIRST BLOOM, a national initiative that connects urban youth to nature and America's national parks.

Worked behind the scenes to support implementation of the artists' vision for this multi-borough, multi-disciplinary "portable performance piece" about trash and transformation and the fact that our garbage, whether physical or psychic, never goes away... it just changes form.

Collaborated with members of the philanthropic community across the country to leverage greater support for community sustainability work in urban areas.

Directed grantmaking programs, primarily in the areas of the arts and urban environmental work; served as key staff for LuEsther T. Mertz Charitable Trust. Helped direct $7.3 million annually.

Managed programmatic work for the LuEsther T. Mertz Charitable Trust and maintained Mertz Gilmore Foundation's technology and grant system infrastructure.
