Assistant Buyer- Kitchen Utility and Electricals-Building strong relationships with brands and other internal departments.-Support the buyer in building and developing a range that is right for the Dunelm customer.-Management of samples for the photography studio and mock shop. -Completing assigned areas of departments weekly trade and help to agree actions to further drive sales. -Negotiating with suppliers to reach the best price, quantity and deadline for promotional products. -Assisting Merchandising team with product tracker deadlines. -Responsible for signing off correct packaging layouts for branded products and for own label products.-Criticle path management. -Support store colleagues with queries.

Assistant Buyer- Schoolwear  -Responsible for and assisting the Buyer on price negotiation including negotiating with suppliers on a multi category product area. -Building strong relationships with supply base.-Support the buyer in building a range that is right for the George customer.-Knowledge of market strategy, customer and competitor profiles.-Responsible for completion of monthly competitor reports.-Responsible for lab dip approvals, gold seals and amendment updates.-Carrying out weekly fit sessions. -Analysing market share data.-Designed and executed the new packaging for SS20 across the whole Schoolwear range. -Critical Path management.

Full time student at Nottingham Trent University studying for a BA(Hons) in Fashion Management. Modules have included Buying and Merchandising, Marketing and Product Technology. Successfully graduated with a high 2:1

I worked closely with Kula Tsurdiu’s small and passionate team of designers, managers and machinist. They are home to a stunning collection of luxury bridal gowns, bridesmaid dress, veils and handmade accessories. My main role was to assist brides in finding their dream dress and to help create a romantic and dream-like atmosphere in store. Within production I worked with beautiful Nottingham and French laces, drawing out dress patterns for brides and completing twirl mock ups for client fittings. I worked closely with company owner Kula to learn about the business and how to dress make. These are skills that I now feel confident in.

I started at Native Clothing as an office junior, completing front of house tasks, reception work and the everyday running of the office. Moving into Export Administration I gained the responsibility of working with our factory in Morocco via email and meeting over the phone. I was responsible for weekly and monthly marine shipping documents and organizing courier collection and prices with Deltec and Davies Turner. My later role as Production Assistant meant checking fabric qualities and lengths. I assembled professional working relationships with fabric suppliers to get the best fabric and trims for my company’s designs. I was also accountable for the overseeing of lab dip approvals and keeping buyers from Topshop and Asos informed of their progress. I created a document using excel that worked alongside our critical path for my production team to use, making garment tracking from start to finish a lot easier. This was trialed for 6 weeks before its approval of full time use, which has continued since I have left Native.

An up and coming online shoe retailer based in Nottingham. My job was to photograph new stock, paying close attention to detail as I edited these photos using Photoshop and then upload them to the website with an item description. I helped control and maintain the website as well as processing customer orders. I would accompany the head Buyer in supplier meetings, I would take notes and photographs of potential new items.
