My tasks include:- Collaborate with reporters and editors to cover a topics ranging from breaking news to long-form investigative projects.- Learn and adapt as technology and reader habits change for traditional print readers and the broader community.- Pitch and create original content, including social-friendly content for social platforms including TikTok and Instagram.- Co-manage the newsroom's YouTube channel. - Work as a general video editor, putting together video content produced by my colleagues.- Coach newsroom on the best multimedia practices- proficient with post-production and asset management. - Occasionally solicit quotes and/or other reporting information while in the field without a reporter.- Occasionally provide backup and assistance to visuals manager.
