About Bethany Mills
In December 2021, I joined the Mississippi State University's Career Center as Executive Director. In this role, I oversee all of Career Center operations, including the Cooperative Education office. The overall goal of our office is to prepare MSU students for life after college and to help employers make connections with students to achieve career success. In addition, our office hopes to create champions of student career success across campus and to engage employers to create new opportunities for students. We are an incredibly diverse institution dedicated to exceptional research, providing experiential opportunities to students, and connecting industry to the classroom whenever possible. Before beginning at MSU, I spent 11 1/2 years at the University of Georgia's Career Center, most recently serving as the Director of Career Development and Programs at the UGA Career Center. As a licensed professional counselor with over 13 years of experience in career services, I have served both alumni and students and find joy in helping others find meaningful careers. I also strive to consider diversity, inclusion, and equity in all programming and services that we provide to students and believe that our differences help to create more creativity and fresh ideas in the workplace.
