I graduated with a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Honours) from the University of Wollongong in 2015, majoring in Land Resources. In my final year of university, I completed my honours report investigating the human health impacts from groundwater contamination in the Sutherland Shire. In particular, I was investigating the relationship of subsurface composition to the risk of human health. After university, I worked for Senversa’s Contaminated Land team in Sydney for two and a half years. I was predominantly involved in the maintenance and upkeep of a groundwater remediation system at a large dry cleaning facility in NSW. Additionally, I was also involved in a number of large groundwater monitoring events, soil and PFAS/PFOA investigation works, multiphase extraction events, asbestos identification and quantification and waste classification.
