Selected by senior leadership to create the department and initiate workforce development systems for the evolving College of Health Sciences. Responsible for the performance management and hiring and development of staff, fostering relationships with the business community, ensuring the responsiveness of the College to needs of the workforce. Leadership and direction for the College’s workforce programs and creating corporate relationships beneficial to the Sullivan University System (SUS) and the region, including productive relationships with local regional, national, boards and organizations and with leaders in businesses, government, non- governmental organizations. Resulting in an increase to operational improvement of 490%.5+ years of experience advocating for workforce needs in both the (KY) State and US Capitals to help improve the workforce and economic conditions of Greater Louisville. Ensure that the voice of workforce is heard by meeting with local and state representatives in our state and national capital to advocate for workforce bills that will help to evolve our local economy. Recruited by the Sullivan University System Executive team as 1 of 2 employees (out of 1200 total staff members) to create and deliver the oral presentation to the University’s Accreditation Review to the SACS-COC (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools – Commission on Colleges) Accreditation Review Team. Accreditation review visit was passed with flying colors. Forms productive partnerships that establish SUS as a national model of workforce development and economic growth. Represents SUS on boards and at local, regional, state, national, meetings, conferences and workshopsCollaborates with Campus Academic Deans and School Directors to identify new programs or revise existing programs to meet local workforce needs, including but not limited to program reviews, program outcomes assessment, and annual effectiveness reports for workforce areas

Recruited by leadership to help develop a system wide, strategic restructuring of career services and workforce development initiatives, helping to create and implement successful policies and procedures. In a 12 month time period, increased department production for 11 units by 265% by working with employers to identify, hire and onboard Sullivan University graduatesChosen by leadership to represent the University at national conventions, resulting in increased employments, campus visits and the development of new relationships and partnerships by national and international employers such as The Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas. Responsible for creating and driving key marketing, workforce programs and public relations projects for the campus which resulted in new marketing collaterals and city wide employer events held on campus. Developed and delivered campus and system wide professional development workshops, helping to train and promote the growth of internal employees as well as students and graduates.

Nominated by a slate of LSHRM past presidents and elected by membership to lead a 14 member Board of Directors, 45 Chair positions, and membership of 600 HR Professionals. LSHRM has been recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as #2 of the “Top 10 Most Charitable Giving” Chapters, out of nearly 600 world-wide Chapters, during tenure. Creator and leader of “Bridging the Talent Gap”, a local talent alignment survey and ongoing workforce development program driven by the Human Resources profession and designed to help better understand the talent gaps within our community. Secured a $90,000 grant to ensure program success, and has been deemed one of the top workforce development initiatives in the community. Rallying support, active participation, and collaboration of local leaders in the areas of workforce readiness, economic development, education and over 260 businesses to help Louisville continue to grow. Lead alongside SHRM Headquarters to help chapters across the county develop a “Bridging the Talent Gap” initiative, becoming a localized talent alignment model for SHRM in 2016 and 2017.Serve on the KYSHRM State Council, working to evolve the human resources profession and improve the workforce within the Greater Louisville Community, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky as a whole.

Led Executive Search Engagements which yielded 215% revenue growth during each year of tenure, subsequently, overall company growth ranged in double digits each year. Successfully built and led key relationships within client companies at all levels of the organizations working as an extension of these companies during assignments. Targeted and developed trusting relationships with Senior Executives of clients, working to recruit and attract them to our clients’ companies. Beat all recruitment goals on an average of 120% annually. Cold called, contracted, recruited, and placed director/executive/board level candidates across a variety of industries including; healthcare, marketing/public relations, utility, manufacturing, banking/financial services. Worked with the C Suite of client companies to help determine position specifications and benchmark criteria, presented weekly communication updates to hiring managers, and facilitated employee onboarding programs. Worked with top level management to help integrate, onboard, train, retain and develop new employees.

Created, led, and executed marketing strategies for 35 programs in the areas of Membership Development, Business Network, Affinity Programs, and Business Development. Managed the project flow of marketing materials using both in-house and outside agencies with project oversight for the web and creative departments. Led the business development campaign that resulted in $1M of pro bono marketing donated from an award winning advertising agency. Project managed the creation of the Economic Development Website working with 7 different departments. Website launch was delivered on time, under budget and with an effective marketing strategy.
