•Assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management.•Handle all aspects of scheduling patients’ testing, surgeries (post and pre-op), and procedures including insurance pre-authorization.•Maintain/update physician(s) schedules and calendar(s).•Provides patient education per provider protocol.•Maintain patient information in an electronic health records system.•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external contacts regarding procedure equipment required by the provider.•Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and co-workers.•Maintain clinical quality assurance standards.•Ensures clerical responsibilities and patient information is completed in a timely manner as assigned.•Adheres to the medical assistant scope of practice per federal/state laws.•Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards of the organization.•Ensure certifications are current and up to date.•Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the practice.
