This was a truly hands-on-materials assignment. We custom made speciality packaging for a re-launch of a classic shoe line. What was old, became new again. The hand-crafted boxes came with a B&W Photography book we printed and inset in the box. The launch was planned for a 'HUGE" London, UK retailer.

Wrangling a complex and rewarding photography, print and video production, for the Royal Bank of Canada's Wealth Management group. Our no-stones-unturned approach meant execution and delivery met all targets for time and budget - and the results are strikingly beautiful. UK photographer was Robert Wyatt. Perfection.

I managed a team of production professionals, across disciplines as the working design, print, radio & experiential producer on a large roster of client business, including consumer facing messaging for OOH, experiential installations, traditional print media, collateral, packaging, POS and special or unusual media applications on behalf of; Audi, Purina, Johnson Insurance, Warner Bros, Heart & Stroke, Canadian Cancer Society and the TFO, among others. This role included a soup-to-nuts list of high volume projects across media platforms and included individual art installations.

Among a catalogue of interesting Design & Print programs, I managed all forms of print materials for General Advertising and the Design Group including, from the ground up, producing for the most effective launch of a Telecommunications firm in North American history at it’s time, including the retail space design elements. All items had to be in-market simultaneously. Print runs of in-package collateral were in excess of a million per piece and eight unique advertising messages ran in French and English in news, magazine and out of home media, by market. I managed the Canadian launch of Viagra and OTC Reactine and produced ground breaking three-dimensional street advertising for YTV as it built its brand recognition. I have tracked down and negotiated use of some of the illusive Indian art, derived from the Bhagavad Gita, for Norman Jewison’s Canadian Film Centre Gala at the ROM. And worked with interior designers on Mobility environments.TAXI Advertising & Design – Broadcast & Print Production ManagerNovember 1995 – August 1997I was the eighth person hired at the fledgling agency, brought in at the time as a ‘ringer’, to handle all broadcast and print production, on every piece of business we were able to win in those very early days of the company. Being part of a start up is an invaluable lesson in how to break down barriers and just get stuff done.
