Responsible for developing the prototype statistical data extract for Fleet's Activity Based Costing Project from which all future extracts would be based upon. The ABC Project involved the development of product unit costs through targeted business line studies as the basis for allocating approximately $1.9B in costs from more than 26 Business Lines.Headed the Financial Systems Management effort to collect statistics from the Data Warehouse owned by Fleet's Consumer Marketing Group as identified by the ABC Team comprised of consultants and bank professionals. This initial data feed from the CPCS system was then successfully translated into the Financial Managements Reporting Group's Actual, Planning and Forecasting ledgers to be used as the basis for Fleet's Branch Banking Teller unit cost development.One of the immediate savings for the Retail Division identified from this in-depth reporting caused a direct bottom line impact highlighting the need to institute a direct deposit mandate to its corporate payroll customers. This analytical effort using a number of query and database reporting tools not only served to benefit the ABC Project but also flushed out a high number of data integrity issues within the Data Warehouse. Fully documented all aspects of the extract design and reconciliation process for future extract development as the ABC Project moved across the franchise.

Effectively managed the activities of the Budget and Planning Systems Group by transitioning the application from its beta status to a stable financial application. Responsible for the operation and processing schedule of the mainframe Budget and Planning System (BPS) which housed the Profitability Budget and Forecast data for Fleet's Business Lines. The BPS application created economic balance sheets and p&l's through automated system rules for funds transfer pricing, provision, indirect expenses, capital and loan loss reserves as defined by Fleet's LOB Controllers and contracted consultants at Fleet's cost center level detail as well as Senior Level Business Line views.Created, managed and communicated project plans involving the application system operation in the annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes for Senior Financial Systems and Senior Business Line Management.Supervised and trained five Financial System analysts to support the application.Coordinated the business needs of the Financial Management Business Line teams with the IT Systems & Programming group. Plugged any reporting gaps as needed by Senior Management by building key system rules and by creating ad hoc reporting and analysis to support economic methodologies.

Performed financial analysis for both the Commercial Consolidations and Commercial Real Estate Financial Management Group.Assisted with the development of the Commercial Division's Business Line Hierarchy to support the new management structure to be used as the basis for the next year's profitability reporting. Created numerous views of the consolidated balance sheets and p&l statements for the Commercial Business Line Controller. Continued as a system expert for the budget and planning system to support the Commercial Business Line in the annual plan and quarterly forecast process.Supported the CRE controller by performing monthly performance and balance sheet statements for two specialty business lines within the Commercial Real Estate World. Prepared schedules to assist the business line with the annual plan process.

Supported the New York Middle Market Commercial Lending Business Line by completing mid-month and month-end profitability analysis reports produced from EAS for Business Line Controller.Represented Commercial Business Line interests in the development of newly purchased Budget and Planning Systems Implementation Project in Providence, Rhode Island. Instrumental in system design for all Commercial Line of Business inputs as well as report design for operating budget and quarterly forecast process. Assisted with the writing of training material and conducted classroom and on-site training for Commercial LOB analysts and controllers for system launch of third quarter forecast and first budget year of the new organization with the new planning application.

Joined the Center's Finance Division to assist with the implementation of a new mainframe payroll system.Represented the Finance Division by assisting with the implementation of a new HR/Payroll system to support the unique population of hospital, college and support employees. Worked with the consulting group hired to assist with the implementation with regard to report design and the building and maintenance of tables and calculations to support the payroll process. Coordinated the entire payroll process for the hospital employees as the application moved from test to production.

Assisted with the roll-out of the cost allocation study phase into 2 Northwest Banks. Responsible for complete creation and customized reporting of the intra-branch bank allocation which charged domiciled branches for transactions performed on behalf of their customers at other branch locations. Created, distributed and trained bank employees in Utah on the capture of these statistics and generation of these charges. Accompanied and conducted a portion of the Profitability presentations with Senior Finance Manager as the reporting was rolled out across the franchise to all levels of bank management.

Hired into the Corporate Finance Division to assist with the implementation of a corporate wide profitability reporting system (EAS) as directed by the CFO. Assisted with the building of system required hierarchies and all financial application extract translation tables which fed into the profitability system providing the basis for accurate and consistent reporting in a fast-paced environment.Coordinated the scheduling and system reconciliation of more than thirteen financial applications into the profitability system with off-site dedicated Systems and Programming staff.

Joined KeyCorp after college along with 9 others as a Management Trainee. Rotated through a number of departments including Consumer and Commercial Lending, Marketing, Branch Banking, Mortgage, Private Banking and Trust Banking by interviewing and observing bank professionals and performing special projects as needed.
