In this newly created role for the Sierra Club, I am building out a national water conservation strategy that connects federal policies to local, state, regional, and Tribal issues. The power of the Sierra Club is our ability to reach millions of people who care about their environment and who are motivated to do their part. We specialize in outings that connect people to the very places that we fight passionately to safeguard. Our national focus is the Protect our Waters campaign. This effort launched as a project of the Clean Water for All Coalition in July 2022 to galvanize the clean water community around the Sackett v. EPA decision, which removed Clean Water Act protections for most wetlands and thousands of stream miles across the country. Since the disastrous ruling came down, the Protect Our Waters campaign has been working with organizations across the country to expand protections for these vulnerable waters at the state level, while also laying the groundwork to push for stronger federal protections.

In this new role, I helped to launch the Clean Water, Toxics, and Resilience Program along with Sonya Lunder, Senior Toxics Policy Specialist, now with NRDC. My focus supported Tribal Coastal Resilience efforts in the Southeast United States while also working closely with the Tribal Co-stewardship Policy Task Force to develop an internal policy for Sierra Club. During this time, I was elected co-chair of the Clean Water for All Coalition. This role originated in the former Policy, Advocacy, and Legal Department based in DC. With the restructure of 2023, I moved to the Conservation and Outdoors Strategy Team.

After being a long time member and supporter of the Virginia Chapter, I joined their staff part time in 2019 to support development efforts. I soon gained hours on the former Gender, Equity, and the Environment Team based in DC to support the US Grassroots Accelerator Program, a partnership with Women's Earth Alliance. As an founding alumni of the program, I supported design and facilitation efforts for subsequent accelerators.

As co-founder, I have developed the necessary resources for our initiative to grow. I manage our finances and support the dreams of our founders and growers.

• Coordinated engagement between tribal organizations, government agencies, and university faculty to address climate change impacts.• Led project team in briefing APNEP's Leadership Council on progress and key takeaways.• Organized virtual workshops to promote information sharing for environmental health protection in the Albemarle-Pamlico region.

Listening to our ancestors and future generations through direct field observations serves as my anchor in this work. Recording audio clips, revitalizing Nottoway language, observing seasonal element and changes in natural behaviors connects people to deep undercurrents of ancient wisdom. Exposing eyes, ears, hearts, and minds to the wonders of Indigenous worldviews is critical to building paths towards true Tribal engagement, consultation, co-stewardship, co-management, and consensus building. This fellowship allowed me to explore these curiosities and develop a model to help communities like mine re-story our waters and lands.

The Virginia Service Conservation Corps is an arm of the AmeriCorps Program that supports Virginia State Parks. Nestled in the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation,the VSCC provides opportunities for members to conduct critical service for Virginia's natural and cultural resources while also expanding their skills. I managed the members on the Western side of the state, which contains all of our majestic mountains and headwaters for our watersheds in Virginia.

Mothers Out Front builds the power of mothers to ensure a livable climate for all children. I organized and trained a team of mothers in Richmond. We led a successful campaign to delay the Chickahominy Power Station.

I managed grants that support our restricted funding, which accounts for 65% of our annual operating budget. In 4 years, I raised over $4.1 million in restricted funding for JRA's core programs and campaigns. I worked directly with our funding partners from federal and state agencies to corporate and private foundations. I wrote and edited proposals and progress reports as well as generated all financial reporting for grants.

Financial officer by weekday - party planner by event! I handled all the finances for this nonprofit, managed 1000s of volunteers, and coordinated the post race parties. The mission of Outer Banks Sporting Events (OBSE) is to organize and promote sports competition and healthy living resources, provide financial resources for needed relief and support for education while contributing to economic impact for the Outer Banks of North Carolina.100% of net proceeds are split 50/50 by the Dare Education Foundation and the Outer Banks Relief Foundation.

I traveled across the country to promote exhibit design services and assist interpretive projects. My time here was full of learning experiences. I assisted the managing director with formal bids and proposals as well as represented the firm at conferences and project interviews.

As a toddler, I crawled on the trails of Chippokes. Baby steps turned into ranger steps as I rose from volunteer to seasonal interpreter to conservation intern to park ranger to chief ranger to acting environmental program manager. It was truly an honor to serve Virginia State Parks!
