Combining my extensive business experience and customer service expertise makes me a dynamic force in any endeavor dealing with people.Building a career in real estate focused on management and leasing as well as market analysis for commercial retail development, I ran my own full-service real estate company in my home town of Dickson, TN for 6 years prior to joining Taigan, an eCommerce website in 2009. Taigan.com was an elegant, highly-curated collection of the best, hand-picked, specialty retailers, designers, artists and purveyors from all over the world providing a turn-key eCommerce and marketing vehicle. Utilizing the Taigan platform as MACMAC Marketplace, I marketed a fully branded and merchandised eCommerce marketplace opportunity which provided that turnkey solution for Brands/Organizations with the vision to monetize their audiences through eCommerce marketplaces. Over time I built incredible business partnerships, relationships and friendships with clients, customers and associates. Capitalizing on one of those relationships, I handled daily business operations of SAVAGE Interior Design team as Comptroller and Design Coordinator through my own company Back Ground Business Solutions. I joined Cabinet Depot, LLC as Business Manager in November of 2020 and purchased the business in April, 2022, and selling that business in 2023.I am active in the economic development of Dickson and Dickson County, TN, having served on the Dickson County Planning Commission and City of Dickson Planning & Zoning Commission 10+ years, sub-committee, Design Review and Storm Water Management, Executive Board of Directors for the Chamber of Commerce, co-chaired/founded board campaign, "Be Local", Charter Board Member of Dickson County YMCA having brought the Y to Dickson, and serving as team captain for Relay For Life, raising over $40,000 for The American Cancer Society. I own two small businesses, Main Street and Company, which makes and sells our own custom created 100% soy candles, and b garrett jewelry, a custom jewelry line using semi-precious stones. I am passionate about Organ Donation and host Livin' Fore Lane Memorial Golf Tournament annually, raising money and awareness for Donate Life Tennessee and Tennessee Donor Services in honor of my son, Lane.
