I have spent my life in service to others - as a teacher, volunteer, and outreach organizer for seniors. I have worked in the healthcare field with older adults and their families including individuals with dementia. I am a detail-orientated individual with excellent listening and communication skills. I have the ability to bring diverse groups of people together to work as a team to achieve goals. My deep conviction is that AGE should not influence the quality of care that an individual receives. My experiences and observations are that many aging adults are "falling through the cracks" of our complex, fragmented healthcare and insurance systems. The fact is that many aging adults are not having their voices heard or their wishes carried out. At this time, I feel compelled to step up, step forward, and help bridge that gap!
