As a buyer’s agent, I showed property, aided clients in finding lenders and securing financing for their loan, wrote offers, negotiated contracts on my clients’ behalf, facilitated home inspections and in some cases appraisals, assisted clients with every aspect of their home purchase process through the day of closing. As a listing agent, I advised clients on how best to stage their home in order to have successful showings and appeal to the most buyers, advised clients on appropriate pricing of their home in order to sell it as fast as possible, presented offers, negotiated contracts on my clients behalf, and assisted in every aspect of their home selling process through the day of closing. In terms of selling the product of real property, I always considered writing the description of the home as creating an ad or commercial to sell the product and appeal to as many potential buyers as possible. Words matter!

Participants are those who have been identified as having an interest in the community and a sincere commitment to making Dalton and Whitfield County a better place to work and live. Participants are chosen to represent the occupational and demographic diversity in the community. The curriculum includes a mandatory retreat in late August, one full day session per month from September through April (excluding December) and a commencement activity in May. Each program concentrates on a specific area of the community using panel discussions, speakers, special presentations, and participatory experiences.
