Current• Created and maintained the logical and physical models using Erwin. The data models were stored in the Model Manager (model mart) repository.• Supported data models for multiple projects as required.• Reviewed work request changes to the Oracle database to ensure table and column names conformed to the Data Engineering Branch’s (DEB) naming standards.• Utilized Erwin’s data dictionary capability to validate DEB naming standards against the names in the data model. • Reverse-engineered DDLs provided by the analyst/developers into Erwin. Debugged the DDL as required and reviewed the data model to ensure the all changes were incorporated into the data model.• Generated data model(s) from the Oracle database as required.• Generated the data definition language (DDL) using the Erwin tool.• Worked with the Oracle DBAs to resolve problems encountered implementing the DDL and served as the liaison between the Oracle DBAs and the developer.• Wrote test scripts for the Metadata Repository (MDR) application.• Tested the MDR to ensure the functional requirements were met. • Developed System Life Cycle (SLC) process and procedure documentation.Served as Team Lead to the data administrator staff; responsibilities included assigning new projects, and coordinating the work load as required. • Provided input at design sessions to technical staff to document the requirements for creating logical and physical data models using Cool:Gen/Erwin.• Developed System Life Cycle (SLC) process and procedure documentation.• Served as the Cool:Gen and Model Manager Encyclopedia Administrator; added and deleted users from the encyclopedia and maintained users’ access.• Developed data queries accessing the DATACOM database and analyzed the results to assist in documenting the legacy tables in Cool:Gen.
