Middleton

• Recruiting to a range of learning programmes including apprenticeships, traineeships and work skills programmes for adults in receipt of benefits by providing bespoke advice and guidance to learners, employers and partners• Completing initial assessment of learner basic skills and conducting training needs analysis to ensure programmes matched their individual needs• Completing, reviewing and monitoring Health and Safety Risk Assessments• Identification and ongoing support of local employers who could provide training opportunities• Arranging accredited learning programmes and monitoring progress of learners• Engaging with local stakeholders through Positive Steps Coordinator / Chamber Business Networking and Membership of various community action groups• Representing the College at promotional events including school liaison aimed at increasing numbers of learners and employers• Contributing to ‘good news’ case studies featured in a range of media platforms. • Use of national database for Apprenticeship Vacancy Matching Service.

Rochdale

• Working with partners i.e. Connexions, Youth Offending Teams, Early Break, Youth Services and the Probation Service to recruit candidates onto learning programmes particularly young people identified as having complex needs and barriers to learning• Identifying, recruiting and supporting local employers through their provision of work experience placements for young people often identified as disadvantaged or at risk of offending• Recording and Monitoring data used for Management Information systems and reporting to government funding bodies• Conducting Health and Safety assessments of the workplace and delivering Induction Training to new recruits• Contributing to organisational self- assessments and reviews, Investors in People accreditation, Ofsted Inspections and the ongoing development of systems and procedures.
