Immigrating from Scotland at the age of 5 ½, my parents taught me hard work and perseverance has its rewards. Completing my bachelor’s degree was one of my major goals in 2017. It allowed me to understand all aspects of business, what I excelled in, and how my work experience enhanced my interests. My four years as an operations manager at a small supply center gave me the opportunity to learn that I enjoyed inventory planning and analysis as well as building relations with customers. I’m experienced in inside sales with a demonstrated history of working in the exterior building materials industry. Skilled in inventory analysis, management, customer service, inventory planning, material procurement, and mentoring. I have a proven ability to improve processes, demonstrated by achieving an audit score of 90 for the first time in over 14 years at the Westland supply center as an operations manager. I have continually been awarded an annual bonus for meeting 2% DSO reduction goals. Our regional corporate credit manager regularly points to my success as an example of preferred processes for A/R management and DSO reduction bench-marking. The concept of helping, mentoring, and working together creates a positive culture.
