Beverly Pace, ACP, has had extensive experience as a litigation paralegal with the Secrest, Hill, Butler and Secrest law firm in Tulsa, Oklahoma, working on construction litigation in defense of Architects and Engineers. Previously, she worked for Atkinson, Haskins as a litigation paralegal working on Malpractice Defense cases on behalf of Physicians and Osteopaths. Prior to joining Secrest Hill, Butler and Secrest she was the Liability Insurance Coordinator for Saint Francis Health System in Tulsa. Ms. Pace is a Past President of the Tulsa Area Paralegal Association and has served on the TAPA Board as the Historian and the NALA Liaison. She became a member of NALA in 1994. She achieved her CP designation in 1998 and achieved her ACP in Trial Practice in 2011. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Legal Studies from Tulsa Community College and served on TCC’s Adjunct Faculty in the Legal Assistant Program, co-teaching a class on Medical Records Analysis. She is currently a member of the Advisory Boards for the Paralegal Studies Programs of Community Care College and Tulsa Community College in Tulsa, OK. She co-authored and presented the “Art and Science of Witness Interviews” for the 2005 Member’s Exchange at the NALA Convention in Kansas City, MO and continues this Presentation twice yearly for NALA Campus Live! Most recently, she co-authored and presented “Transitioning from School to Work” as an Educational Outreach concept for NALA at the TCC Paralegal Program and co-authored and conducted “The Professional Identity Project” Podcast on The Paralegal Voice featured on Legal Talk Network. Ms. Pace authored an article entitled "Look Who's Talking" published in the National Association of Legal Assistants January/February 2013 Career Chronicle, Vol XXXIX Issue 4.
