Beverly was employed at the American Hospital Association (AHA) as an Executive Director for 2 personal membership groups - The American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administrators and The American Society for Healthcare Education and Training. She provided leadership, strategic directions, orientation and support to 2 boards of directors, 22 committees and 120 affiliated chapters. She retired in 1993 when diagnosed with breast cancer. After her diagnosis and treatment, she volunteered for Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization where she served as hotline counselor, volunteer trainer and support group facilitator. In 1996 she was hired as Director of Chapter Services, acting as liaison, trainer and resource to 23 affiliate groups.Since relocating to Indianapolis, Beverly joined Crossroads AME Church. She is the chairman for the Commission on Health. Her connections with the church introduced her to Rev. Shonda Gladden, CEO of Good To The SOUL. As a SOUL Stirrer, Beverly provides contract services that support coaching and support to churches committed to a healthy learning community.
