Provides leadership and vision for clinical quality in skilled nursing facilities, transitional care, and assisted living service lines for the third largest not-for-profit health system, in the U.S., serving AK, WA, CA, MT, OR & WA. PHS operates 34 hospitals, 475 physician clinics, 22 SNFs, 19 hospice and home health programs, 693 supportive housing units in 14 locations.

Director of Clinical Education: Designed, developed & implemented educational training and learning programs for clinical staff to improve regulatory outcomes, revenue business development, and quality competency-based care. Utilized technology-based formats, self-paced learning modules, onsite-classroom/simulation clinical lab instruction, and empowered peer-to-peer participatory support for unique and innovative training approaches. Provided Regulatory Support, Corrective Actions, Auditing & Validating Compliance with Policy & Procedures, Incident Investigations, Client Resolutions, Regional/Facility level Orientations, Clinical System Reviews, Medication Management, and Point Click Care Training.

Performed center-site reviews and monitored regulatory compliance via a quality review process and corrective action validation process. Provided survey management consultation and educational resources, as needed to achieve desired positive outcomes.

Developed and implemented corporate programs and training initiatives. Provided clinical operation oversight to (57) skilled nursing facilities, across (5) states before being promoted to the Corporate Director of Education.

Managed a nursing workforce grant-funded career ladder pilot program in Washington State. Created a 12-month curriculum, as a on-the-job apprenticeship training program in order to advance certified nursing assistants-to-a restorative aide role-into collegiate nursing pre-requisite courses, in preparation to "grow a future nursing workforce", during a period of a critical nursing shortage. Program adapted by the State of Georgia and Florida.

Provided clinical instruction and supervision, during clinical rotations in the nursing home long-term care setting, to a cohort of first-year RN students.

During Graduate School, provided case management for the medical complex frail elderly residing at home. Conducted in-home visits and authorized home health care services.

During Graduate School, acted as a special projects clinical liaison between physician providers, provider groups, acute care hospitals and skilled nursing facilities. Provided community health educational outreach programs for new business sales marketing within older adult organizations, retirement centers, and assisted living communities.

Conducted center-site visits to audit, review and analyze clinical records and operational systems. Monitored corrective actions for regulatory compliance. Provided clinical education, as needed, for CNAs, LNs, Nurse Managers, Nursing Directors, and Administrators.

Provided oversight and instruction for a Washington State Approved Nursing Assistant Training Program. Developed a new curriculum for a cluster of skilled nursing facilities and to meet community workforce nursing assistant shortage needs. Responsible for staff education and in-servicing according to federal regulatory compliance, annual State requirements, corrective actions and new hire orientations. Managed Quality Improvement and Infection Control Programs. Conducted Infection Control Surveillance, Prevention, Precautions and Employee Health records.

Provided care for patients on the medical surgical and cardiac telemetry units. Floated to oncology, dialysis, respiratory/pulmonary, and orthopedic units often.
