I own and manage a growing specialist patent law firm with a global client base. We provide traditional patent preparation and prosecution and portfolio management services. We also provide patent litigation services, practicing before the Patent Trials and Appeals Board of the US PTO. In addition, leveraging my 35 years of experience as technology executive and as a prolific inventor (37 US patents so far), we help clients build and manage strategic patent portfolios. In addition, we have represented clients before the United States International Trade Commission in a litigation consulting role in several cases.As far as I know, I am the only former Fortune 500 CTO who is also a proven inventor and who actively practices patent law. We operate virtually, so our overhead is low and our cost is very attractive—and we do virtually everything on a fixed fee basis.While many of my clients are in the software field (not unsurprisingly given my background!), I also have a number clients in mechanical and electrical areas, as well as semiconductors and industrial engineering. We have recently been working in life sciences as well, especially the application of advanced machine learning to drug discovery and genomically-tailored dietary supplementation.I have been very focused on §101 patent eligibility issues in the last several years, including filing an amicus brief at the Supreme Court in the Alice Corp. case.
