Brett began his career as a physical education teacher before quickly being elevated to an high school assistant principal at the age of 26 in the largest public school in the state of Virginia. Over the last 11 years, Brett has served in a variety of school leadership roles to include systems of support administrator, assistant principal, athletic director and principal within both public and charter schools under some of the most challenging leadership conditions. Brett believes his leadership success is largely due to his unwavering commitment to authentic relationship building, courageous communication, simple systems of accountability and building school cultures grounded in restorative practices.
