I thrive on exploring new fields, countries, and challenges—be it a new career path, outdoor adventure, sport, or creative endeavor. With a solid foundation in International Social Justice, I’m passionate about continuous learning, growth, and advocating for social change, even when it pushes me out of my comfort zone.My career journey began as a Youth Development Specialist with the Peace Corps in Costa Rica, where I honed my communication skills and deepened my understanding of grassroots community development until I was evacuated due to COVID-19.Back in Richmond, Virginia, I remained dedicated to serving my community as a Social Needs Navigator with the YMCA, connecting Spanish-speaking individuals to essential resources that support their settlement into the U.S. and the Richmond area. I learned firsthand how social support systems can empower individuals and transform communities, especially during challenging times.I then transitioned into a unique opportunity with The Veil Brewing Co., first as a bartender and later as their E-commerce and Wholesale Manager. My role involved everything from overseeing the e-commerce platform, ordering and managing merchandise inventory for taprooms and web stores, to facilitating international wholesale orders and logistics. Although, working for a small business means my days sometimes were spent canning beer, driving kegs to and from the warehouse, or using a forklift to fill a shipping container going to China. I loved everything about working in a hyper collaborative environment that empowered me to take on leadership roles and even gave me the flexibility to head up a sustainability team that focused on working with local organizations to recycle brewery waste and fund raise for various important social initiatives.Now based in Melbourne, Australia, I’m ready to bring my diverse skill set to a mission-driven company that values community, sustainability, and social impact. I’m excited to contribute to a team committed to making a positive difference!
