Project: Bit-rate Video Transcoding using H.264Implementation of Transcoders using the H.264 Video Compression Technology. The purpose of the project was to achieve compatibility of sending and receiving video messages in H.264 format with high fidelity rates for various transmitters and receivers supporting different bit-rates. Adapting the bit-rate of a coded video bit-stream to the available bandwidth over heterogeneous network environments was our main goal. The heterogeneity in the bit rates supported by different applications is bridged by bit rate reduction. The objective of bit-rate reduction is to reduce the bit rate while maintaining low complexity and achieving the highest quality possible.
