I was responsible for conducting the thermal analysis on different substructures for various government contracts, and reporting on findings and recommendations to stakeholders. In this role, I also completed CFD testing as well for a few complex use cases for airborne systems. In addition to simulation work, I worked as a thermal SME for TVAC testing, most notably for the JPSS-2 weather satellite .

I was responsible for conducting thermal analysis on new PCBs for various different projects. This required utilizing Spaceclaim (CAD software) for simplification of bodies prior to analysis, as well as using ANSYS workbench for end to end setup from design, simulation, to results processing.

I assist with experimentation in ultrasound testing including pulse-echo and pitch-catch forms of material analysis. In addition, I assist with tensile strength testing, comprising of experiment setup along with data capture. In the lab we use LabVIEW to construct programs to convert raw voltage signals to appropriate data values outputted by older machinery. We have developed a DIC (digital image correlation) system to use in tensile tests for displacement and strain analysis of composite materials. Currently I am working in simulation and analysis of defects in composite materials using Abaqus and MATLAB.
