Director - Strategy, Policy And Coordination
Manager - Policy And Implementation
In this role, I lead and oversee the whole-of-government implementation of the Ethical Supplier Mandate and Ethical Supplier Threshold – two new initiatives introduced to strengthen the Queensland Procurement Policy while ensuring that Government is doing business with ethical suppliers. To ensure project success, I identified implementation gaps and developed suitable artefacts such as processes, procedures, investigation guidelines, targeted communications for buyers and suppliers, tools and systems. I also actively lead stakeholder engagement activities with Industry, Unions and government buyers to address perceived ambiguity and ensure effective implementation.
Program Manager - Covid-19 Procurement Response
In this role, I program managed the whole-of-government COVID-19 procurement response (including governance) ensuring that the procurement function was agile and responsive to the challenges of the pandemic emergency – both during the initial emergency phase and as Queensland transitioned into recovery. Chaired the whole-of-government interdepartmental group, performing scrum master duties during the daily meetings discussing and workshopping procurement challenges (including increased demand of PPE and hand sanitiser) and quickly identifying issues to enable agile and responsive solutions such as rapid supplier onboarding. Team Leader - Compliance Coordination And Referral
My primary responsibilities included supervising and guiding the Compliance Co-ordination and Referral (CCR) team in the delivery of procurement-related complaints co-ordination and referral activities. Completions & Handover Manager - National Broadband Network (Nbn)
I led the national quality assurance, compliance and final handover of the construction jobs completed in the field for the deployment of National Broadband Network (NBN Co). This role included reviewing and recommending improvements to existing processes to meet network construction targets, deliver training and conduct workshops nationally to ensure the suppliers are aware of the quality assurance standards and compliance requirements. While in this role, I also managed a team of 15 Quality Assurance Officers, provided forecasting on a weekly and monthly basis and worked closely with the Project Managers nationally to meet targets.
