 Processing income: To investigate and process any income event notified to the team by the service provider, via the fund accounting platform.  Posting entries in system: All entries/ movements to be posted prior to the specific valuation point of each fund ensuring no breaches and financial and risk is avoided. Validating an income event: Events are only processed on accounts once the valid event has been verified by a second market recognized source. Reconciliation: All income events are reconciled accurately and processed within agreed timeframes. Tax vouchers: To process tax vouchers for unit trust dividends correctly splitting group 1 and group 2 tax portions. Break resolution: Investigating any cash breaks that have originated from incorrect payments and correcting them in the fund accounting system Processing special dividends: To ensure correct accounting treatment for Special dividends Processing special trades: Make sure special trades are being considered for the correct dividend accruals Accruing Mutual funds as per trend: Monitor the accruals for collectives schemes and make sure those are reflecting correctly in the system Reconciliation of reclaim: Perform withholding tax and reclaim review and ensure that these are reconciled with custody. Query resolution: Ensure that queries received from trustees/depositories are responded on timely manner Breaches: Review breaches and perform root cause analysis for the errors to ensure those are not repeated in future Process re-engineering: Identify opportunities to enhance current operating proceduresSoftware and Business Tool Proficiency Microsoft excel, Bloomberg, Invest one, Smart Stream Reconciliation.Projects undertaken Currently working on the project which deals with automation of reconciliation between different data providers which will reduce the man hours required on a daily basis (approx. 2 – 3 hours per day) to half.  Preparation of consolidated financial statements: On a monthly basis providing consolidated financial statements (P/L) for the Region at Head office level which involves Product wise and RM wise reporting. Providing MIS: Customizing reports to provide more value added information to assist front office and Business Finance in their understanding it involves Preparation and booking of adjustments in Global books to clear validations.  Forecasting: Analyze financial data to explain monthly/periodic performance relative to its targets and to project future performance. Assist with the monthly forecast process. Validating data and uploading same into global systems: Preparation, validation and uploading of the data to global systems which requires developing expertise in the applications and the control and review of key data for HO. Global standards adherence: Assist in implementation of sound controls and consistent processes around the process to ensure its adherence to Global standards. OTC trades: Reporting OTC Trades on monthly basis to Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
