Key member of Production Team delivering critical maintenance to the Commonwealth ofAustralia’s Royal Australian Navy’s Canberra Class Amphibious Assault Ships, also known as a LandingHelicopter Dock (LHD). Naval Ship Management (NSM), is responsible for the asset management andseaworthiness of this class of vessel Under the Asset Class Prime Contract (ACPC).Principal Duties and Responsibilities:• To run weekly project cost reports with actuals and commitments.• To assist the production managers in forecasting estimates to complete.• To conduct variance analysis of estimates at completion.• Processing and recording Project Variations in accordance with head contract and subcontracts.• Reviewing and approving Subcontractor Quotes and Purchase Orders up to the delegated authority• Processing all invoices in accordance with head contract and subcontracts.• Collate and provide Project Health data to support internal and external reporting requirements.• Support Production Managers to contractually close projects.• Support Finance as required to ensure progress and contractual claims are substantiated and submitted accurately and on time.• Control and Issue Work Instructions’ and coordinate task acceptance, price validation and request for quote with subcontractors.• Processing and recording other direct variable costs in accordance with head contract and subcontracts.• Maintain accuracy of source data and project control tools in support of cost and schedule reporting• Work with Project Administrator to ensure all project activities are undertaken accurately and in a timely fashion.
