I am working primarily on three projects: 1) Helping to set up and run the Epigenomics Data Coordination Centre hosted at the BC GSC as a part of the CEEHRCs (Canadian Epigenome, Environment and Health Research Consortium) contribution to IHEC (International Human Epigenome Consortium), 2a) examining transcriptional and genomic changes to brain tumour initiating cell lines derived from glioblastoma using machine learning approaches such as PCA, ANOVA, logistic regression, elastic net regression, and survivorship analysis 2b) examining whole exome sequencing data from mice to identify key mutations driving cancer 3) identifying mutations that place individuals at elevated risks for developing colorectal cancer using Affymetrix SNP6 arrays, and 4) using big data and text mining to scour the literature for drug-disease relationships.
