During my time at the ARC lab, I collaborated with the lab making design decisions to support several projects for the team. I utilized Xilinx development boards and Xilinx IP to replicate a hardware issue with Xilinx's 7-Series FPGA GTX Transceivers. I designed top level modules for the kc705 and zc706 development boards. I debugged the initial test design using the Xilinx hardware manager and Xilinx ILA and VIO debug tools. I successfully reproduced the hardware issues observed on the L3Harris proprietary boards using Xilinx IP and Xilinx hardware. I gained valuable experience with industry-standard design flow and debugging tools. I worked well within a team to communicate progress and generate solutions to roadblocks I faced while developing my test modules.

Interned at Plant Scherer in Generation. Learned the fundamentals of electricity generation at a coal-fired power plant. Visited other generation sites including Fort Valley solar field, Plant McDonough-Atkinson combined cycle, and Warner Robbins solar field. My project focused on advancing Plant Scherer's Predictive Maintenance strategy by utilizing condition-based maintenance (CBM) data. I had the opportunity to interact with on-site CBM specialists, the GPC data analytics team, and experts from the Monitoring and Diagnostic Center. Overall, I gained valuable domain knowledge as well as practice communicating with people from many different departments and areas of the company.
