Uncrewed Aircraft Systems is a Design Team based in the University of British Columbia. Its objective is to win a design team competition with other Universities by building a drone that accomplishes a set of tasks defined by the competition rules. At UAS, I worked in the Pathfinding Subteam. Here, we wrote c++ modules to maximize the points gained by determining the optimal routes to traverse and in which order.(1) Developed a C++ mid-flight rerouting mechanism based on Dijkstra’s shortest path and cartesian coordinate based line segment detection. Wrote 30 GTest Unit Tests to verify algorithm performance.(2) Initiated, developed, and tested Pathfinding to GCOMM integration using the nlohmann JSON API.

Worked with Design Engineering and Design Verification Engineers to execute verification of the NVMe protocol. Verification done via an HDL language called Systemverilog, and a class based (object oriented) Systemverilog framework called UVM. Work also included developing tools to help generate UVM code and debug regressions.o Developed 3 UVM RAL test cases. Found and helped fix 2 RTL, 1 architecture, and 2 testbench bugs.o Successfully debugged a missing coverage item, and integrated AXI VIP for an AXI MUX channel. o Developed a post process python tracker to view the full flow of NVMe commands in CSV & Text format. Features include: (1) automatic post processing; (2) command line option; and (3) GUI support. Application used regularly by 8+ team members and approved by the customer. o Developed a flow utilizing Jinja Templates, osxml, yaml, and python to auto-generate boiler plate UVM class definitions for hundreds of registers.o Added 7 additional models to the CI/CD pipeline and consequently activated 2 new coverage tools. o Developed bash alerts to avoid memory overuse over 3 times and find over 45 missing regressions.

Responsibilities include: (1) Planning and Building Test Suites; (2) Employing various testing strategies, including regression, ad-hoc, functional, UI, and Focus Testing; (4) Research and Development; (5) Writing Scripts to Automate Tasks(1) Used Selenium Chrome Driver python module to automate over 150 test cases in an internal Unity Web Application and decrease regression test execution time by 50%.(2) Found over 30 bugs in a Unity Hololens Application

Responsibilities include: (1) Planning and Building Test Suites; (2) Employing various testing strategies, including regression, ad-hoc, functional, UI, and Focus Testing; (3) Statistical Analysis with code coverage tools; (4) Research and Development; (5) Writing Documents like Test Plans and QA Approval Reports.(1) Used TestRail to develop over 300 manual end-to-end test cases for Web, Mobile, and Unity Applications(2) Used a unit testing tool called AltUnity Tester to automate the execution of test cases for real Unity Applications. Developed unit tests using C# and achieved an 85% code coverage metric for the application. Wrote documentation on the tool so that it can be adopted throughout the company(3) Documented test run results using TestRail, signed off on 85% of projects worked on, and wrote QA approval reports. (4) Developed and presented a new methodology for penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and record remediation strategies. Tools used include: Snyk, Sonarqube, Nmap, Zed Attack Proxy, and Wappalyzer.
