Lodestar's vision is to help bring the next generation platform to help enterprise customers adopt AI faster. * Working with first time founders, to help build Lodestar and launch our first product, which we did – an active learning video annotator with multi label classification and segmentation that supports tens of thousands of hours of video. I was instrumental in bringing to market, from an idea to version 1.0. *While I was VP of Engineering, I was also helping drive our business development as we sussed out what it is we were actually building.* Hired and grew the company to the core foundational engineering team, while defining the company culture and vision based on: accountability, no-blame, live/work balance, honesty, and helping each other up instead of putting each other down.*Created a successful engineering agile process based on: value driven principles; inceptions; atomic stories, pointing, and honest cadence without burnout; with iteration planning every two weeks where engineering operates much like a factory floor with a high degree of predictability. * Established a process driven product workflow that employs the same inception and planning principles as engineering which ultimately feeds the engineering pipeline. Nokia acquired Space Time Insight in May 2018 to bolster its position in the Industrial Internet of Things. Their goal was to diversify from hardware only and believed the acquisition would allow them to move up the stack. * Worked closely with CEO of Space Time on several aspects of the acquisition with Nokia* At Nokia, my role was chief architect for the newly created IoT division and be a thought leader with all things IIoT as well as guide the company as it expanded its footprint in IoT* Chief architect for an indoor tracking solution for a hub optimization project with a major carrier. Carrier could not build any more hubs and understood they were only operating at about 60% efficiency. One key optimization was to track all assets inside the massive facility and to use NDAC (Nokia Digital Automation Cloud, a private LTE solution operating in public spectrum) for connectivity* Chief architect for a vehicle tracking solution for Hertz to keep track of exactly how many rental cars are really at a facility using Computer Vision and license plate recognition machine learning.* Worked closely with Equinex to investigate creating a new marketplace for selling and buying data* Worked closely with customers on communicating architecture and business reasoning* Worked closely with customers to give talks at a variety of conferences and customer meetings.I left Nokia to start my 3rd company, lodestarAI

Nokia acquired SpaceTime in May of 2018Space‐Time Insight, Inc., the leading provider of situational intelligence solutions – visualization and machine learning for the Industrial Internet of Things.With the acquisition of my company GOFACTORY, Space-Time Insight strengthened its leadership in real-time visual analytics with the addition of proven IIoT technologies and deep industry expertise. The acquisition enabled Space-Time Insight customers and partners to take advantage of the innovative, highly-scalable GOFACTORY cloud service to capture and analyze an unprecedented level of data from connected assets, systems and people in real time. GOFACTORY is engineered from the ground up to be highly reliable and scalable and was named to Gartner's Cool Vendors in IoT Security list for 2015.GOFACTORY originally started off as a consumer company with the launch of Go-Matic (since decommissioned), a mobile application to help people securely connect with each other without having to exchange personal or private information, allowing them to form groups while providing real-time messaging and location tracking while in the group.Shortly after launch at Demo, consumer group apps became saturated so we pivoted to be a Platform as a Service (PaaS) providing access to our back-end through a robust set of SDK's allowing any developer to build connected apps with real-time messaging and device management. In 2014, we began adding support for connecting not just people together, but also industrial control systems remaining focused on the mobile device. Once we began focusing on Industrial IoT, we quickly raised $2M in Seed and a year later sold the company to Space Time for $14M.

Predictive Medical Technologies, Inc. was an early stage startup company that offered a revolutionary new technology solution for ICU surveillance and prediction of disease called coreICU. Built on PMT's proprietary platform, our diagnostic and predictive analytical engines will allow doctors to continuously monitor and identify the current and future status of each patient in the ICU. We had five predictive diagnostics under development: cardiopulmonary arrest, respiratory failure, renal failure, sepsis, and re-intubation risk. Each diagnostic can predict the 24-hour likelihood of an adverse outcome.* Founded company with co-founder Ute Gawlick, Md/PhD from University of Utah* Worked closely with co-founder to develop a Bayesian model to predict the likelihood of cardiopulmonary arrest with a 24 hour likelihood in the ICU* Negotiated license of initial patent by our co-founder Ute Gawlick from the University of Utah. While at Oracle, Mr. Hughes held a Director-level Architect position of Consulting Member of Technical Staff, responsible for re-engineering and developing the temporal relational database, advanced role mining, lifecycle, and resolution systems used for compliance and provisioning as well as the development of Oracle's Identity Analytics.While at Oracle, Bryan successfully lead the effort to get Oracle Identity Manager to scale from 500K users to over 1M without any architectural changes or re-engineering.

Software and Database Architecture of Bridgestream's Enterprise SmartRole's software for Role Management and Role Resolution. Bryan was responsible for the architecture and implementation of Bridgestream's Temporal Persistence Engine and Eventual Consistency Transaction Model using a multiversioning with conflict resolution. Mr. Hughes was also responsible for a prototype Graph Server for a rule based Role Engine for on demand role resolution.
