A green field partnership project in my Home town(Abohar). This is first of its kind project in this small town. With global changes in weather Abohar saw growth in rice paddy production. Most of the produce was sold to nearby areas due to lack of any milling unit in Abohar. With a capacity of 2 Ton/Hr we consume about 10% of crop of this area.

Strategize and implement sourcing possibilities at the suppliers Visit supplier and identify opportunities on manufacturing processes, products and sourcing Select and use the appropriate tools for the diagnosis (process observations, VDA 6.3 Audit, VA/VE analysis, OEE analysis, benchmarks, takt time…) Develop sourcing strategies for components/Assemblies to meet product requirements. Work with suppliers and define Project timeline, identifying key milestones of the project. On job experience of APQP, FMEA, SPC analysis (Pp / Ppk, Cp / Cpk), Control Plans, GD&T. Identify critical components in assembly and have special focus as per ASQA. Guide suppliers to deliver PPAP level 3 (Monitor and support the implementation plan – PDCA) Draft a continuous improvement plan and identify the appropriate actions (kaizen events, supply chain or flow optimization, workstation balancing, 5S, changes in line or workstation lay out, standard instructions, co-sourcing study …) Quantify the potential impact (cost savings) of the identified improvement opportunitiesIdentify and organize the Supplier Development Opportunities Define the scope of the cost reduction projects with the concerned purchasing departments In cooperation with the buyers, present improvement plans to the suppliers, secure their cooperation and transparency Identify key stakeholders, secure their support, plan the activitiesCollect data and prepare on site diagnosis Gather information about the supplier, product design and supply chain. Audit Supplier based on VDA 6.3 (Technical Audit) Methodology. Present the supplier SWOT analysis, for further decision making.
