BariaTek is a clinical stage medical device company dedicated to treating obesity via a reversible non-invasive endoscopic approach intended to mimic and match bariatric surgery in terms of efficacy and surpass it in terms of safety, ease of use, reversibility, and economics.Kickstarted the company from the basic medical need, built a fantastic team and technology, and collectively transformed the company into a clinical stage company by early 2024. Built a great team of about 40 medical device professionals that formed the Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Affairs, Product Development, and Manufacturing teams. Led these functions and represented them at the executive committee and board levels.Navigated the company through:- The construction from scratch of a truly unique state of the art facility (€ 6 million project, built and ISO 13485 certified within 15 months);- The development and 3 CE Mark approvals for our first product line (vascular reconstruction surgery); - The transition from MDD to MDR;- A first in human clinical study approval for our second product line (sutureless nerve repair surgery);- US FDA IDE Approval of our first product line (vascular reconstruction surgery).

Co-invented and co-founded the world’s first company to develop a 2-step home based saliva collection kit that allows for the preservation of all saliva’s components including blood cells and blood proteins.Acquired by Orasure Technologies in 2020 for an undisclosed amount.

Initiated, led and managed the development of the ACURATE TF neo system from the first sketch/concept in 2010 to the CE mark approval and commercial launch of the product in 2014.The commercialization of the product transformed the company within 1 year into the EU leader in its field and led to the acquisition of the company by Boston Scientific for $ 435 million.

Part of the core R&D team of Sadra Medical, a Silicon Valley start-up which developed the Lotus valve, still to this day the only fully deployable and retrievable TAVI transfemoral system in the world that was CE Marked and FDA approved.The company was acquired by Boston Scientific for $ 450 million.

Part of the core R&D team of Baylis Medical, a medical device company developing products in chronic pain management, interventional cardiology, and radiology. The company developed, commercialised, and sold product lines to Kimberly Clark, Medtronic, and then got entirely acquired by Boston Scientific for $ 1.75 Billion.
