Customer Service Manager of Industrial Process Technical Centre. Responsible for the internal sales and project teams within Valvestock IPTC, part of the Wolseley UK Group.

I had responsibility for the growth of the market in the south east of the UK. The main business sectors include food packaging, water, ground remediation, print, chemical, plastics, pharmaceutical, and distributors. My key target is to position Busch as the number one supplier for vacuum pumps, low pressure blowers as well as engineered packages and service solutions.

In this role I had responsibility for the growth of the market in the south of the UK. The customer base was wide ranging including food and beverage, oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and distributors. My key targets were to position Tyco as the primary supplier for industrial valves and controls and to increase market share. My product portfolio included ball, butterfly, gate, globe and non-return valves along with actuation and control products.

Diffuse SouthI was responsible for the growth of the key diffuse market in the south of the UK. The primary customer base was Universities, distributors, spin-off & start-up companies and small R&D type organisations. My key target was to position BOC Edwards as the primary supplier for vacuum, thin film coating and related items. My product ranges included all items within the BOC Edwards portfolio. Sales budget circa. £1.2m.

I joined BOC in September 1989 as a Production Operator.In June 1991 position of Production Supervisor. In this role I was responsible for the everyday running of all Toxic gas filling activities. In May 1995 position of Operations Manager. My key tasks were to run the site safely, within budget, maximise profits and increase customer satisfaction. I was responsible for a team of 12 staff, a budget of £500k and the production of £2.5m of product.

Graduated as a Pilot Officer from RAF College Cranwell.Trained as a jet pilot achieving solo flying status. Left due to failure to meet required training standards.
