As a Case Manager for the Motivation for Change (MfC) Program at InTouch, Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence, I am responsible for delivering comprehensive support to men using violence in their relationships. My role involves conducting detailed risk assessments using the PUV MARAM Tool, maintaining regular communication with Family Safety workers and MfC facilitators, and participating in Collaborative Risk Management Meetings to ensure ongoing safety and risk mitigation. I contribute to the program’s development by translating materials into Dari/Farsi and engaging in relevant training and community education. My responsibilities also include managing client data in IRIS, offering expert advice on family violence within CALD contexts, and facilitating referrals to external agencies. My efforts have led to the successful integration of trauma-informed practices, enhanced psychoeducation on family violence, and strengthened partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring continued effective service delivery for individuals impacted by family violence.

At Western Health, as a Perpetrator Practitioner with The Orange Door, I played a crucial role in delivering family violence intervention and support services. My responsibilities included conducting comprehensive client intake and risk assessments, ensuring adherence to legislation and quality standards, and engaging in information sharing while maintaining confidentiality. I actively contributed to safety planning and risk management, utilizing the MARAM framework to address and mitigate risks effectively. My role also involved collaboration with various services to implement harm minimization strategies and facilitate access to essential and supportive services for clients. Through my work, I supported continuous service improvement and built strong networks with stakeholders to enhance client outcomes and promote effective responses to family violence.
