I am Bijan Ebrahimi, Senior Developer, and Technical Leader. My passion for open-source, as well as the architecture of Unix-like systems, namely UNIX philosophy, has influenced me in the past, and will probably continue to do so in the future.I have been regularly praised by colleagues and managers as a quality-oriented colleague, although I consider myself also an idealistic yet pragmatic person. I believe that idealism in design and thinking, along with the pragmatism of commitment, provides a good combination of the genius and creativity of an artist to a system developer.Before entering the university, I entered the world of programming by learning Pascal's object programming language using Delphi, and I quickly fell in love with this endless competition in providing software solutions to real-world problems. And my interest in discovering the complex but predictable world of computers is growing more and more to this day.Currently, I love operating-system kernel programming and solving complex software architecture and security challenges in Zharfpouyan's (software) router project. Developing such a large and complex project has taught me so much knowledge and experience that I try to share it with my teammates on a daily basis. I believe that actively reviewing codes to find performance and security issues is one of the main tasks of any senior developer, along with responsible design in providing simple yet genuis software solutions to complex problems.Improving the functionality and performance of network applications including kernel itself, studying and implementing networking standards such as RFCs, troubleshooting performance and security issues, as well as teaching clean coding and secure coding in the C programming language on Unix-based operating systems to junior developers are my common tasks which I really enjoy it.I love reading the OpenBSD's tech mailing-list in my own spare-time and would love to be involved in other variety of projects in the future.Skills/Interests: C, kernel Programming, Device Driver Development, UNIX Network Programming, DPDK, Python, Shell Scripting, Git, TDD, SQL, LaTex, OpenBSD, FreeBSD, Linux
