• Working in partnership and developing a close relationship with owners and asset managers.• Actively participating in the development of all key managerial positions and manage effectively labor turnover, recruitment & employee development within the budget parameters.• Setting effective systems and controls to ensure the consistent smooth running of the departments.• To conduct pre-opening meetings with Ownership & Project team and provide them with necessary inputs.• Prepare and present pre-opening process presentation to Owners and hotel operations team, explain the various stages and nuances of pre-opening, including the standard requirements and compliance's that are required.• To ensure that the project and the operation team comply to all pre-opening processes, operational brand standards, insurance requirements etc.• Preparation of Pre-Opening budget including OS&E requirement.• Preparation of Post opening budget.• Setting up the Finance Department including processes and controls.• Liaison with different service provider for setting up the hotel Software’s including interfaces.• Negotiation of Vendors for procurement of items.• Assisting Owning company for obtaining different Hotel licenses.

• Review of budget proposals of Middle East hotels, and preparation of Area Office budget.• Projection of future income of prospective projects.• Preparation of Pre-opening budgets for new hotel projects. • Analysis of Financial Statements and other management reports submitted by the hotels and report variances to budgets and forecasts, especially: 1. Revenue2. Expenses – Payroll, F&B Costs, Energy Cost3. Account Receivables4. Inventory of OE and Others5. FF&E Reserves• Prepare / Update Standard Operating Process document for any finance related activity. Ensure uniform accounting processes are followed across hotels.• Review of all control procedures in hotels and identify weakness, if any and adapt control procedures to curb such weaknesses.• Visit hotels and review laid down operational finance processes, guide on important matters and review performance of the hotel finance team. Ensure all critical controls are in place.• Review of units’ internal audit reports and work with both the unit and central internal audit team to ensure non-recurrence of any negative observations. • Coordinate with hotels for timely submission of monthly & quarterly reports.• Monitor compliance reporting of internal policies and statutory laws applicable to hotels. Report the deviation to the leadership on a regular basis.• Supervise the handovers of hotel financial controllers between the outgoing and incoming financial controllers.• Preparing the Fees invoices on monthly basis to the Middle East hotels as per the Management Agreement as well as the rechargeable invoices to all hotels across the group.• Controlling the Accounts Receivable position of the Middle East Area office.• Prepare presentations for monthly review meetings with hotels and then various departments of the Area Office.
